Kadriah Palace
Kadriah Palace was built in 1772 by Sultan Syarif Abdurahman who was the first sultan in Pontianak. This building looks magnificent with its local wisdom, which is with attractive colors. The material used to build this palace is also special, namely belian wood which is famous for its strength.
If you walk in the court of the palace, you will see an ancient cannon which is a legacy of Portuguese and Japanese. When you enter into it, you will find the throne of the sultan and the empress. In addition, there are also photos complete with clothing and collections from the sultan. Uniquely here you will find an Al-Quran written by Sultan Syarif Abdurrahman Alqadrie.
Pontianak Jami Mosque
In Pontianak, this mosque is known as the Sultan Syarif Abdurrahman Mosque. Entering the mosque you will see four main pillars made of wood. Each pole here is 0.5 meters in size. For its capacity, the Pontianak Jami Mosque can accommodate up to 1500 worshipers. Interestingly, this mosque was built with a stilt house model to avoid flooding when the Kapuas River was overflowing. Kapuas Park Square
The Kapuas River is one of the icons of Pontianak, which is why this river cannot be separated from the lives of the residents there. With these prices you can enjoy white sand beaches and clear sea water. The location of Pasir Panjang Beach is about 17 kilometers from the city of Singkawang. Tourists who can do many interesting activities, ranging from playing on the beach, sunbathing or playing volleyball.
West Kalimantan Museum
For those of you who want to learn about the culture of West Kalimantan, especially Pontianak, you can visit the West Kalimantan Museum or better known as the Pontianak State Museum. This museum is located on the street of General Ahmad Yani. There are three zones that you can visit. First, a zone containing artifacts in West Kalimantan, the second is a section containing a collection of royal objects and the third contains crafts of arts and culture of the Dayak tribe.
On the outside of the museum you will find a small garden with a wooden bridge that is often the location of photos for visitors who come. You can visit this museum from 08:00 to 16:00 on Tuesday to Thursday. Meanwhile, on Friday to Sunday the West Kalimantan Museum is open from 08:00 to 15:00. Keep in mind, tourist attractions in Pontianak will be closed every Monday.
Betang Radak House
For those of you who are interested in learning the culture of the Dayak tribe, visit the Radak Fort House, Pontianak. This tourist attraction in Pontianak is a replica of the Dayak tribal house in West Kalimantan. The Betang Radak house has a length of about 138 meters with a width of 5 meters and a height of 7 meters. Inside you can see the beauty of the architecture and interior of the Dayak house.
